Outfest, the nations largest LGBT film festival presents Fusion, the people of color film festival from March 14-16, at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. Once again, NoMoreDownLow.TV, is an official media partner.
Kicking off this year’s festival is Patrik-Ian Polks’ critically acclaimed film “Blackbird.” The coming of age story about a gay teen discovering his sexual identity in a small town in Mississippi. Academy Award Winner Mo’Nique stars as his religious mother, and Isaiah Washington as his compassionate father. The film Features openly gay newcomer Julian Walker. Also screening, the short film “Secrets And Toys,” “What It Was,” “Gay Latino LA: Coming of Age,” “Tribute To Bobbie Jean Baker Featuring the Believers,” Alec Mapa’s “Baby Daddy,” and a stand up comedy routine by Raneir Pollard.
