Baltimore Ravens Linebacker Brendan Ayanbadejo is continuing to speak out in support marriage equality. This time on ESPN, no less.
If you remember, back in March, he did a video in support of marriage equality in Maryland. In his recent ESPN interview on “Outside the Lines,” Ayanbadejo said one of the reasons he speaks out about supporting the LGBT community is that, “Just the way that I was raised was that everyone was created equally. And God created us the way we are.”
The ESPN show also touches on New York Rangers’ forward Sean Avery’s sexuality being questioned. Avery says it’s all “narrowmindess.” MUST WATCH (below).
In related news, Carolina Panthers Linebacker Nic Harris joins the growing list of folks who are part of the NoH8 Campaign.
We’re pushing toward a major turning point here when male, straight, black athletes are standing up for the LGBT community. We need to send the support right back! This fight for equality depends so much on our allies and this is just amazing that we taking a few more steps forward here.
