Marsha Ambrosius is a rising R&B star with her debut album “Late Nights & Early Mornings” reaching No. 2 on Billboard’s 200 Albums chart and No. 1 on the R&B Albums chart.
Her latest single from the album, “Far Away,” the singer tells a personal story of losing a gay friend to suicide. She tells the story by introducing us to a black gay couple, who passionately embrace, kiss and hold hands in a park. The couple is shunned by a mother with her kids before meeting up with some thugs.
The video ends with her personal note that encourages Marsha’s fans to accept people for their “alternative lifestyles.” Although I hate it when people use those words because “lifestyle” implies that I’m making a choice and the religious right want us to choose to be straight, we applaud the video and give her an “A” for effort.. and the hot couple in the video! Even better, we hear that the video is being played on BET and VH-1.
